Vietnam Climbs 2 Ranks in Missosology’s Global Beauty Rankings

Vietnam ranked 49th on the global beauty rankings in 2023, with a total of 3,669 points, according to Missosology, the world’s leading publication on beauty pageants, as reported by VOV.

Missosology calculates Vietnam’s points based on the achievements of its representatives in five major beauty pageants: Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, and Miss Supranational.

Notable Vietnamese contestants include Dang Thanh Ngan, the fourth runner-up of Miss Supranational 2023, Nguyen Phuong Nhi, who made it to the Top 15 of Miss International 2023, and Do Thi Lan Anh, the second runner-up of Miss Earth 2023.

Do Thi Lan Anh was honored with the title of Miss Earth Water, equivalent to a runner-up, in the grand final of the Miss Earth 2023 pageant, held in Ho Chi Minh City in December 2023.

Lan Anh, 26, was crowned Miss Earth Vietnam 2023. She currently resides in the United States and stands at a height of 1.71 meters, with body measurements of 85-60-95cm.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese beauty Dang Thanh Ngan achieved international recognition by becoming the fourth runner-up at Miss Supranational 2023, held in Poland. Ngan also won the Fan Vote challenge.

Thanh Ngan, 24, from the Mekong Delta province of Soc Trang, is 1.75 meters tall with measurements of 85-60-95. She was the second runner-up of Miss Ocean Vietnam 2017 and the winner of Miss Can Tho Student 2017 and Leading Stars 2018.

Although Nguyen Phuong Nhi, the Vietnamese representative at Miss International 2023, did not win a title, she was among the Top 15 finalists.

Phuong Nhi, 21, is 1.70 meters tall with measurements of 80-57-88. She gained prominence by winning the second runner-up title at Miss World Vietnam 2022, earning her the opportunity to represent Vietnam at the 2023 Miss International pageant.

She was also honored as one of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Faces of the Year, as voted by international fans on Cutiepiebeautyy’s Instagram.

Huynh Nguyen Mai Phuong, who will represent Vietnam at the upcoming Miss World contest, is expected to further improve the nation’s rankings in the global list.

Vietnam jumped two places, from 51st in 2022 to 49th in 2023. The top five countries on the list are the United States with 22,416 points, followed by Venezuela (20,491 points), the Philippines (15,464 points), Brazil (14,789 points), and Colombia (14,472 points).

Other countries in the top 10 include India, Australia, Spain, Japan, and Finland.

Vietnam ranked below China and Costa Rica, which placed 47th and 48th, respectively. The country was followed by Paraguay and Bolivia at 50th and 51st.

Vietnam was also listed among the top 10 countries in the Grand Slam ranking for beauty in the previous year, according to global beauty site Globalbeauties.

Although Bui Quynh Hoa did not win any awards at Miss Universe 2023, Vietnam received one point for sending a representative to the global beauty pageant.
