Phu Yen shines a light on its heroic past with an event titled “Heroic Phu Yen – Shining Future.” The province intends to showcase its history and development through this celebration.

With a cast of nearly 400 performers, including professionals and amateurs from Phu Yen, Hai Duong Province in northern Vietnam, and Chungbuk Province, South Korea, the event will bring historical milestones to life on an outdoor stage. This spectacular performance is expected to attract a massive audience of 10,000 people.

The program has been carefully crafted to present the province’s aspirations for development, honor its heroic traditions, and showcase the remarkable transformation Phu Yen has undergone over the last 50 years.

To create a truly immersive experience, historical images and literary works from the revolution will be reenacted and complemented by a breathtaking 15-minute fireworks display, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.

Adding to the significance of the event, the Phu Yen People’s Committee will host a special gathering for individuals who actively participated in the revolution before April 1, 1975. The provincial military command will also facilitate meetings for domestic veterans, taking them on a journey back in time as they visit former battlefields and historical monuments, including the renowned Vung Ro national historical site.

From March 30 to April 3, Phu Yen will further showcase its socio-economic achievements with an exhibition at the Mot Thang Tu Square. This exhibition will also serve as a platform to introduce the province’s unique products, delectable cuisine, and captivating tourism offerings.

During these festivities, the Phu Yen administration will also share the exciting news of the prime minister’s decision to recognize the Kala relief—a one-of-a-kind stone sculpture created by the Champa people and discovered in Phu Yen Province—as a national treasure.

Join us as we celebrate the heroic spirit of Phu Yen and embark on a journey through time, witnessing the province’s shining future!
