For his inaugural performance in Vietnam, the artist has prepared a repertoire of renowned classical pieces. The program includes Chopin’s “Nocturnes,” Rachmaninoff’s “Preludes,” Scriabin’s “Etudes,” and Stravinsky’s “3 movements from Petrushka.”

As a special tribute to the host country, Giltburg will also perform a Vietnamese composition, “Trống cơm” (rice drum) by Dang Huu Phuc.

The 40-year-old pianist, originally from Russia, is acclaimed as one of the most brilliant and captivating concert pianists of his generation. Since his triumph at the Queen Elizabeth International Music Competition in 2013, he has graced the stages of some of the world’s most prestigious concert halls, including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall, and the Wiener Konzerthaus.

Giltburg has collaborated with renowned orchestras and conductors on a global scale, such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, the London Philharmonic, and the NHK Symphony. His performances have taken him to iconic venues like the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, Southbank Centre, and the BBC Proms.
