The Bach Ma National Park is dubbed “natural heritage” of the central province of Thua Thien-Hue. The National Park covers an area of 37.487 hectares stretching over Phu Loc and Nam Dong districts.
NDO – During the April 30-May 1 holidays, officials and workers at the Sin Quyen copper complex and the Tang Loong copper smelting factory in the northern province of Lao Cai have still been on duty to manufacture and provide tonnes of 99.9% purity copper for electrical appliance production factories across the country.
Nearly 140 original works by renowned Vietnamese painter Mai Trung Thu include oil on canvas, paintings on silk, drawings, photographs and lithographs.

In 1911, from Nha Rong Wharf of Sai Gon, now Ho Chi Minh City, President Ho Chi Minh, known in those days as Nguyen Tat Thanh, boarded a French sea liner with a burning desire – seeking ways for national salvation.
The Linh Ung – Bai But Pagoda, located in Son Tra peninsula in Da Nang city, was inaugurated in July 2010 after six years of construction. A highlight of the pagoda complex is the 67-metre white Bodhisattva Guanyin statute standing atop a lotus-shaped platform. The pagoda has been a favoured spiritual destination for both domestic and foreign Buddhist followers and visitors for years.
The central province of Quang Tri was one of the most devastated localities during the war by thousands of tonnes of bombs and shells. Its Ben Hai River, located at the 17th parallel, used to be a part of a DMZ that separated the country during the American War in Vietnam. Now Quang Tri province is no longer a sign of separation of Vietnam but a link in the East-West Economic Corridor.
In response to World Environment Day (June 5) launched by the United Nations Environment Programme, Vietnam has since 1982 carried out activities to raise public awareness about environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, sustainable development and response to climate change.
