Speaking at the event, Ambassador Vu Quang Minh emphasized that the cultural and artistic activities of the Vietnamese community in Germany are vibrant, diverse, and rich. These activities encompass music, dance, poetry, literature, and various other art forms. He expressed his hope that Vietnamese culture and arts will continue to be preserved and promoted in Germany for generations to come.

Nguyen The Ky, Chairman of the Central Council for the Theory and Criticism of Literature and the Arts, stated that the purpose of the delegation’s visit to Germany is to discuss cooperation in literature and arts with German organizations, agencies, as well as associations of the Vietnamese community. The visit also aims to review and improve the Vietnamese Party and Government’s orientations, policies, and laws on literature and arts for the year 2025, in celebration of the 50th National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975-2025).

Representatives of Vietnamese literature and arts clubs and organizations in Germany and other European countries expressed their desire to preserve and promote Vietnamese traditional art forms abroad. They aim to enhance foreign friends’ understanding of the cultural heritage of Vietnam, the S-shaped country.

During their trip, the council is scheduled to meet with leaders of the Berlin international film festival (Berlinale), Goethe Institute, the Germany-Vietnam Association, and other organizations.
