Vietnam’s Weather Outlook (March 22): Reduced Rainfall in Northern Region

The National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting has reported that cold air has affected most of the North and Central regions. In the mainland, there is a Northeast wind at level 3, while coastal areas experience level 4-5 winds. The Gulf of Tonkin is experiencing strong Northeast winds at level 6.

In the Northern and North Central regions, the weather is cold. The lowest temperature in the North is ranging from 15-18 degrees, and in high mountainous areas, it drops below 10 degrees. The North Central region generally experiences temperatures of 16-19 degrees.

The weather forecast in different regions

Northwest region: The weather is predicted to be cloudy and rainy in some places, with temperatures dropping at night. The lowest temperature is expected to be 15-18 degrees, and some places might even drop below 15 degrees. The highest temperature is projected to be 19-22 degrees, with some areas reaching above 23 degrees.

Northeast region: The forecast suggests cloudy weather with light rain in some places during the evening and night. There will be Northeast winds at levels 2-3, while coastal areas will experience levels 3-4 winds. The lowest temperature is expected to be 15-18 degrees, with some places dropping below 11 degrees. The highest temperature will range from 18-21 degrees.

Thanh Hoa – Thua Thien Hue: The weather will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, especially in the North. There will be North to northwest winds at levels 2-3, with coastal areas experiencing levels 3-4 winds. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. The lowest temperature will be around 16-19 degrees in the North and 20-22 degrees in the South. The highest temperature will range from 18-21 degrees in the North and 23-26 degrees in the South.

Da Nang – Binh Thuan: The weather will be cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong winds. There will be Northeast winds at levels 2-3, and coastal areas will experience levels 4-5 winds. The lowest temperature will be around 22-25 degrees, while the highest temperature will range from 28-31 degrees in the North and 30-33 degrees in the South.

The Central Highlands: The weather will be cloudy during the day and sunny at night, with no rain. The wind will be east to northeast at levels 2-3. The lowest temperature will be around 17-20 degrees, and the highest temperature will range from 30-33 degrees, with some places going above 33 degrees.

The Southern region: The weather is forecasted to be cloudy during the day and sunny at night, with no rain. The wind will be northeast to east at levels 2-3. The lowest temperature will be around 23-26 degrees, and the highest temperature will range from 32-35 degrees.

Hanoi: The forecast suggests cloudy weather with light rain in some places and early morning fog. The lowest temperature will be around 18-20 degrees, while the highest temperature will be 21-24 degrees.
