The Thoi Binh Hamlet in Kien Giang province has received a much-needed boost with the construction of a new rural traffic bridge. Named Kenh 5, this vital infrastructure stands at an impressive 22 meters long, 3 meters wide, and 3.5 meters tall, costing a total of 200 million VND. The Kien Giang Union of Friendship Organizations played a pivotal role in making this project a reality by mobilizing funds from Buddhist Thich Nu Dieu Hoa and the Phuoc Thien Charity Association, amounting to 150 million VND. The state also contributed a substantial 50 million VND, along with additional support from the local community.

It will also enhance trade and the exchange of goods, bringing the community closer to achieving its goal of improved rural transportation infrastructure and building a new-style rural area.
The occasion was made even more special by the Phuoc Thien Charity Association’s donation of 10 scholarships and 50 gifts to elementary school students from disadvantaged families with good academic records.
