Two Vietnamese beaches, My Khe and Non Nuoc, were recognized as one of the “best places for atmosphere,” securing an impressive second place.
Chris Leadbeater, the writer, describes the duo as “a perfect pair, lovely in peacetime after being embroiled in war.”
Following these two Vietnamese representatives were Palm West Beach in Dubai, Playa Coral in Varadero (Cuba), Hamdeok Beach in Jeju (South Korea), and Playa de La Concha in San Sebastián (Spain), respectively.

Ipanema in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, took the top spot in the “best for atmosphere” category. According to the UK newspaper, it’s at its most stunning just before breakfast, with breathtaking views of the spiky Dois Irmãos peaks to the west and the Arpoador rocks to the east.
The lists also include categories like “best for wildlife” and “best for luxury travel,” ensuring there’s an ideal destination for every traveler, whether they seek remote spots or family-friendly attractions.
In the “best for wildlife” category, Nihiwatu on the Indonesian island of Sumba took first place. Meanwhile, the “best for views” category crowned Three Cliffs Bay in Gower, Wales, as its winner. The top spot for “best luxury accommodation” went to Dhigurah Island in the Maldives, and “best for being active” honored Waikiki Beach in Hawaii, USA.
My Khe Beach has consistently ranked among the top beaches in Asia. In 2023, it was voted eighth best beach in the world by TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards. A Malaysian reader on TripAdvisor praised My Khe as one of the finest beaches in Southeast Asia.
