A jeep tour of Hanoi and a street food tour of Ho Chi Minh City have been recognized as two of the top 25 travel experiences in the world, according to readers of Tripadvisor.

The jeep tour, operated by Hanoi Backstreet Tours, ranks 10th on TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best “Things to Do” list. The four-hour tour takes visitors through Hai Ba Trung Temple, Hanoi Train Street, Long Bien Bridge, and the Old Quarter, with stops at coffee shops along the train track and a rooftop bar for street food and beers. The tour is priced at USD 55.

Meanwhile, the street food tour in Ho Chi Minh City, offered by Saigon Back Alley Tours, ranks 14th on the list. This four-hour tour on motorbikes allows visitors to explore the city’s vibrant street food scene, including popular dishes such as Bánh mì, bún bò Huế, BBQ pork with rice noodles, bánh xèo, and sweet soup dessert. The tour, which includes hotel pickup and drop-off, starts at USD 25.

Hanoi attracted 16.9 million tourists in the first eight months of this year, generating a revenue of VND 61.6 trillion (USD 2.55 billion), while Ho Chi Minh City welcomed nearly 25 million tourists, with a revenue exceeding VND 100 trillion (USD 4.15 billion) during the same period.

In addition to the Vietnam experiences, the list includes other popular destinations such as a full-day tour of the Hawaiian island of Oahu, a whale-watching tour in Juneau Alaska, and bike tours in Singapore.

Australia’s leading independent music and arts publication, Theaureview.com, also highlights Vietnam as a popular tourist destination known for its stunning landscapes, historic sites, and cultural attractions. The article suggests visiting coastal Nha Trang City in Khanh Hoa Province for boat cruises, temple visits, cooking classes, and rooftop cocktail bars.
