During the 6th Congress of the Vietnam Public Sector Union, the union will be presenting its first Dedication Awards. These awards recognize outstanding officials who have made significant and long-term contributions to the union’s member units and agencies.
The Congress is a significant political event that promotes democracy and unity among civil servants and employees within the union. It is expected to welcome 300 official delegates and 150 guests.
To raise awareness about the Congress, an online contest named “Vietnam Trade Union and Vietnam Public Sector Union through Congresses” was held. The contest aimed to foster unity and confidence among all levels of the union.
During the contest, which received 19,000 registrations and 30,000 test turns, officials and employees from ministries, units, and agencies at both central and local levels participated.

Despite the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the VUFO’s Officers Union has successfully fulfilled all tasks during the 2017-2023 tenure. This includes implementing innovative and practical activities to protect the rights and interests of officials. The union also arranged for members to receive Covid-19 vaccinations and provided support to severe cases of infection.
The union ensures the well-being of its members through periodic health checks and the proper implementation of social insurance and health insurance. Additionally, they provide training and support to improve the health and well-being of their members.
The activities of the union have greatly contributed to the effective administration of VUFO, ensuring the success of all aspects of their work. The union’s officials have maintained a strong political ideology without any notable mistakes or fines.
The 10th Congress elected 7 new members to the Executive Committee, with Nguyen Thi Thu Giang being re-elected as the Union’s President for the 2023-2028 tenure.
