Aptly titled “Khai Xuan,” which translates to “Early Spring,” the exhibition showcases the work of 29 artists across three generations. From the seasoned veteran, 83-year-old Ngo Quang Nam, to the young and vibrant 35-year-old Vu Thuy Mai, this diverse group of Hanoi-based artists presents a unique perspective on the season.

According to the organizing committee, the exhibition provides a rich and immersive experience of contemporary Vietnamese fine arts. It features a dynamic collection of works that showcase the creative energy and emotional depth of these talented artists.

Among the highlights are two stunning masterpieces by artist Tong Ngoc. “Doan Tuong Tu,” or “Lovesick Moment,” and “Ke Mong Mo,” which means “The Dreamer,” have particularly captivated visitors. Painted with watercolor on silk and accented with gold, “Lovesick Moment” (70x70cm) celebrates the ethereal beauty of a Vietnamese woman in a traditional ao dai. These pieces evoke a deep sense of romance, capturing the gentle allure of spring and the timeless grace of Vietnamese women.

Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, also attended the exhibition and remarked on the simple yet profound expressions of emotion captured through various mediums, including silk, Do paper, lacquer, oil paints, and bronze. He noted how the artists invited viewers into a world of boundless aesthetic beauty.
