Five wives of foreign ambassadors attend the event donning the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai.

The Vietnam Ao Dai Week is first held back in 2019 by the Vietnam Women’s Union in co-ordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Since then, the occasion has been held in the first week of March every year to mark the International Women’s Day on March 8.

The wives of the foreign ambassadors leave a positive impression on audiences while modelling Ao Dai at the event.

The event features the latest Ao Dai collections from over 50 fashion designers.

Ao Dai collections draw inspiration from numerous famous heritage sites, Vietnamese landscapes, national flags, and diplomatic relations between Vietnam and foreign countries.

The Ao Dai collection for brides impresses audiences at the event.

Ao Dai Week arranged by the Vietnam Women’s Union aims to encourage women to wear an Ao Dai between March 1 and March 8 as part of efforts to show off the charm and elegant beauty of the dress.
