The contest, which was launched on March 20 and concluded on May 30, attracted 337 entries from nearly 100 painters based in Hanoi as well as many other provinces and cities around the country.

The posters showed many creative perspectives together with the enthusiasm and feelings of the painters for their capital city.

They highlighted the historical tradition and culture of Thang Long – Hanoi, the heroic capital – the city of peace as well as expresseing the aspiration of integration and rise of the municipal Party committee, administration and people.

First prize went to a poster titled “The 1010th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi” by Ha Thanh.

The organising board also presented two second and three third prizes to other outstanding works.
