The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee’s Standing Board has given the go-ahead for an exciting transformation of the area surrounding the iconic Ben Thanh Market, with a focus on enhancing the appeal of this popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

The District 1 administration has been tasked with creating a detailed roadmap to bring this revitalization plan to life, and they’ve been hard at work mapping out a strategy to ensure the project’s success.

This ambitious project has an expected completion date of April 30 next year, and it includes some stunning features that are sure to elevate the area.

One of the key features of the renovation is the creation of a public square right in front of the market, providing a vibrant focal point that connects Pham Hong Thai and Ham Nghi Streets.

Le Loi Boulevard, known for its commercial buzz, will also undergo a makeover, with dedicated pedestrian-only zones added to the thoroughfare.

The project encompasses a square, roads, sidewalks, and other essential components, all designed to complement each other and create a cohesive and attractive space.

To truly captivate visitors, four distinct areas will undergo a magical transformation, each with its unique charm.

The first area, spanning 23,320 square meters, is encircled by Phan Boi Chau, Phan Chu Trinh, and Le Thanh Ton Streets, along with the vibrant square in front of the market.

The second area, covering 2,475 square meters, will grace the front of the Saigon Railway Transport JSC headquarters. Meanwhile, the third area, a spacious 8,210 square meters, will be developed in front of the Ben Thanh Quadrangle project, adding to its allure.

Lastly, the final area, spanning 11,830 square meters, will be situated near September 23 Park, completing the quartet of captivating transformations.
