The stamp, which was designed by painter Pham Quang Dieu, showcases a portrait of composer Van Cao along with a sheet of music and the lyrics of the Vietnamese national anthem.

Measuring 43x32mm, the stamp is printed with a denomination of VND4,000. It is currently available in the postal network from November 15 to June 30, 2025.

Van Cao, born on November 15, 1923, in the northern city of Hai Phong, composed “The Marching Song” in 1944. The original version of the song was chosen by President Ho Chi Minh as the national anthem and later revised by the National Assembly in 1955.

Van Cao was also a renowned songwriter, known for his romantic songs that expressed love and aspirations for peace. In 1996, he was posthumously awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Music.

His name has been given to numerous beautiful streets in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang, and Nam Dinh.
