Most notably, a special television show will get underway on Vietnam Television’s VTV1 channel at 8pm on May 18.
The show will take viewers live to notable landmarks such as the Presidential Palace in Hanoi, the Tan Trao national relic site in Tuyen Quang province, the Kim Lien relic site in Nghe An province, Nha Rong Wharf in Ho Chi Minh City, and Van Mieu park in Cao Lanh city in Dong Thap province.
Moreover, a documentary film, achieved footage, art performances, in addition to exchanges among scholars and contemporary figures, will also be featured during the event.
Ahead of the evening’s broadcast, a ceremony to commemorate the 130th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh will be shown on Vietnam Television’s VTV1 channel at 9am on May 18.
Elsewhere, other notably events include a music gala being held at the Hanoi Opera House at 8:10 pm on May 17 with the occasion involving plenty of songs and dances that express the respect and gratitude the Vietnamese people have towards President Ho Chi Minh. The show will be broadcast live on VTV1 channel.
In addition, a number of photo exhibitions which recount stories about the late president’s life and career will be taking place at a number of museums and relic sites nationwide.
Photos and artifacts which highlight the life and career of the former leader, along with storytelling activities about him, will be included at an exhibition at the Vietnam Military History Museum in Hanoi from May 15 to July 31.
Furthermore, a photo exhibition showcasing the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh is set to be held on May 14 at Hoa Lo prison.
