Within the framework of World Italian Cuisine Week in Vietnam 2021, the event is organised by the Italian Embassy in Hanoi, the Consulate General of Italy in Ho Chi Minh City and the Italian Trade Commission – Ho Chi Minh Office, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (ICHAM). The programme includes an exhibition of Italian food and beverages, with importers and distributors of Italian delicacies throughout Vietnam.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the event “A Taste of Italy Everyday” will take place from December 9 to 12 at AEON Mall Tan Phu (30 Bo Bao Tan Thang) and in Hanoi from December 16 to 19 at AEON Mall Long Bien (No. 27 Co Linh Street).
The event will be open to the public from 9 am to 10 pm and will be accompanied by cooking classes, along with musical performances.
According to the Italian Embassy in Hanoi, one of the highlights of this programme is the introduction of cooking videos by the famous Italian chef Gianvito Matarrese, founder of EVO Restaurant in Alberobello and member of the “AssociazioneItaliana Ambasciatori del Gusto”.
“A Taste of Italy Everyday” aims at bringing the Vietnamese public the excellence of Italian food & wine, as well ashighlighting the commonalities between Italian and Vietnamese culinary cultures, such as conviviality, hospitality and wellbeing.
According to the Italian Embassy in Vietnam, Italian cuisine has a rich diversity spread across 20 regions of the country. Each region has a different tradition and taste to share. Diversity is at the heart of Italian identity and lifestyle, highlighted by “Italy is simply extraordinary: beIT”, a media campaign launched by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) in 26 countries, including Vietnam.
