Bai Sau Beach in Vung Tau began welcoming tourists in early May following a month of social distancing. Most tourists remain a little cautious and adhere to all recommendations from the health sector on keeping a safe physical distance.

People are now much more confident about taking a trip. Indeed, bookings at most hotels in Vung Tau on weekends now reach 50 to 80 percent of capacity.

Though tourism activities have now resumed, the local government still asks that localities remain cautious by strictly applying safety measures.

Though tourist arrivals remain low compared to previous years, local travel companies are optimistic and are doing what they can to recover by introducing promotional programmes./.
