The advanced training course, called ‘The LaLiga Method,’ started on Wednesday at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center in Hanoi and will continue until Friday.

More than 40 coaches from Vietnamese youth football clubs and women’s teams are attending the training.

Tito Burrell, the technical director of LaLiga Academy Vietnam, and Saul Vazquez Chas, a senior expert in the LaLiga football development project, are leading the course. The training aims to improve the skills and football IQ of the players by focusing on the technical, tactical, physical, and psychological aspects of the game.

Based on extensive research on the similarities between Vietnamese and Spanish players, the LaLiga Method is a comprehensive approach designed to raise coaching standards.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) expects this training program to help establish a solid academic foundation for football in Vietnam.

Furthermore, it is anticipated that it will empower the attending coaches, leading to a shift in their perspectives, coaching techniques, and development strategies for youth football clubs.

Last September, the VFF signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with LaLiga to introduce the Spanish style of play to coaches and players in Vietnam until 2026.
