They include Duy Tan University and Ton Duc Thang University, both based in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as Vietnam National University-Hanoi (VNU), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), and Hue University in Thua Thien-Hue.
Duy Tan and Ton Duc Thang were ranked between 601st and 800th, while VNU was ranked between 1,201st and 1,500th, and the remaining three were in the 1501st group.
It is worth mentioning that this year, Ho Chi Minh City Open University is listed for the first time as a “reporter,” meaning that it provided data but did not meet the eligibility criteria to receive a ranking. However, it agreed to be displayed as a reporter in the final table.
This year, the Times Higher Education ranked a total of 1,904 universities from 108 countries and regions, making it the largest and most diverse ranking to date.
The ranking is based on THE’s new WUR 3.0 methodology, which includes 18 performance indicators to measure an institution’s performance in teaching, research environment, research quality, industry, and international outlook.
