Captivating photos of these wild sunflowers have been circulating on various channels, beckoning tourists to embark on a journey to Da Lat. The cold weather only adds to the allure of witnessing this endless sea of sunshine.
One of the most scenic routes to observe these wildflowers is the Lien Khuong-Prenn Expressway. Here, the sunflowers dance alongside vegetable gardens, creating a picturesque contrast of colors.
Voi Mountain, located just a stone’s throw from Da Lat, offers a magnificent display of wild sunflowers in full bloom. Their bright petals blanket the mountain, creating an unforgettable vista.

To reach this sunflower-clad mountain, visitors can travel along National Highway 20 to Hiep An and Hiep Thanh communes in Duc Trong District. It’s just a short 10-20 minute motorbike ride from the heart of Da Lat.
For the best experience, tourists are advised to explore the outskirts of Da Lat, as well as Don Duong and Duc Trong Districts, before 10:00 am or after 3:00 pm. During these hours, the golden hour light illuminates the wild sunflowers, creating the perfect opportunity for breathtaking photographs.
Known by several Vietnamese names, including ‘da quy,’ ‘huong duong dai,’ ‘cuc quy,’ and ‘son quy,’ these wildflowers belong to the chrysanthemum family. They grow into tall bushes, reaching heights of two to three meters.
The blooming season for these majestic flowers typically begins at the end of October and lasts until the end of November, marking the end of the rainy season. During this time, the hills and meadows of Da Lat are painted with a vibrant yellow palette, creating a memorable sight for all who visit.
