Capella Hanoi, located on Le Phung Hieu Street in Hanoi’s Old Quarter, has been recognized as one of the world’s top 100 favorite hotels by Travel + Leisure, a prestigious US travel magazine.
Capella Hanoi, which opened in 2021 amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, ranks 18th on the list. The hotel’s suites are inspired by the Hanoi Opera House and offer balconies with stunning views of Hoan Kiem Lake.
The hotel’s architecture and interiors were designed by renowned visionary Bill Bensley, bringing to life the opulence of Vietnam’s Roaring Twenties. The rooms are spacious and visually captivating, featuring a blend of colors, patterns, and textures, according to the US magazine.
“If there’s a Vietnamese phrase to describe Capella Hanoi, it’s “tinh te” (delicate). A “tinh te” state of mind is a process of careful selection,” the magazine wrote on its website.
A night’s stay at Capella Hanoi starts at VND6.5 million (US$275).
Capella Hanoi was also named one of the best new accommodations in the Asia-Pacific region by DestinAsian’s The Luxe List 2021. It was ranked as the No.3 Best City Hotel in Asia and the No.1 Best Hotel Brand in the World.
Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards is an annual ranking, and this year’s list includes one hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and Phu Quoc. Reverie Saigon, located on Nguyen Hue Boulevard, ranks 35th, while Regent Phu Quoc, which opened in April last year, is named the 19th best hotel on the list.
