The Vietnam News Agency (VNA) has co-operated with more than 40 media agencies in the region and around the world, in which cooperation with the Public Relations Department of Thailand (PRD) is one of the most comprehensive and effective, contributing to consolidating the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Thailand.
In implementing the Party and State’s open foreign policy and with a desire to enhance professional cooperation in the new context, the Vietnam News Agency and Mongolia’s Montsame News Agency signed a cooperation agreement on July 19, 2001. The two agencies have since had regular information exchanges and offered assistance when reporters of one are working in the other.

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of VNA (September 15, 1945 - September 15, 2020), Kyodo News President Toru Mizutani said he hopes VNA will affirm its central role in the regional media landscape and that relations between the two sides will develop further and stay abreast of the rapid pace of digital technology.
