Charity run to raise funds for charitable projects

HCMC – The British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam will organize a charity run at the British University Vietnam’s Ecopark campus in Hung Yen Province on November 29 to raise funds for charitable projects in Vietnam in various fields such as education, healthcare and natural disaster prevention.

The BritCham Vietnam Charity Fun Run – Run for Vietnam 2020, expected to attract more than 5,000 runners, is also aimed at encouraging the sporty spirit and strengthening the community.

British Ambassador to Vietnam Gareth Ward will join the event with singer My Linh and Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy.

Ticket sales begin today, November 23, until November 28 at the BritCham Vietnam Office and some Circle K stores in Hanoi. The ticket is priced at VND150,000 for adults and VND75,000 for children between 6 and 12 years old, while children five years and under can enter for free.

After excluding all costs and expenses, the revenue from the fun run will be donated to BritCham Vietnam’s Charity account and will be distributed according to BritCham Vietnam’s Charity Policies.

After the 5-kilometer run, participants can have a picnic with their friends and family at Ecopark. Runners will also win valuable prizes such as one Yamaha Freego S motorbike, staycations at Sixth Sense Ninh Van Bay, one membership card at Venesa worth VND50 million, Passport Level Membership cards from Elite Fitness and one counseling package to study abroad and one English course provided by Clever Academy.

The BritCham Vietnam Charity Fun Run is an annual fundraising event of the British Chamber of Commerce Vietnam to help improve the lives of disadvantaged communities in Vietnam.

Over the past 20 years, the event has been held annually in Hanoi and HCMC, attracting more than 100,000 runners and raising over VND10 billion for charitable programs.

Last year’s event was attended by 7,000 runners and raised VND1.3 billion for charities across the country.
