VND100 million in scholarships given to Danang students

| Scholarships are granted to students who secured excellent results at Danang City’s talented students competition and the national high school exam |
In October, STF and the Education Promotion Association of Thanh Khe Dong Ward gave 100 “STF-Pham Phu Thu” scholarships worth VND1 million each to the students of Doan Thi Diem Primary School and Phan Dinh Phung High School. The scholarships were also granted to students who reported excellent results at Danang City’s talented students competition and the national high school exam.
Funding for the scholarships came from Nguyen Thi Le Huyen and her family.

| Dr. Tran Van Binh hands over scholarships to the students of Ninh Thuan Vocational College |
On November 2, Dr. Tran Van Binh, representative of the Supporting Committee for Vietnamese People in Germany, visited Ninh Thuan Vocational College, which provides training to some 700 students, including some Cham students.
At the event, Dr. Tran Van Binh donated 90 books worth over VND40 million from the Nhat Nghe Tinh (Master One Trade) Bookcase, which was co-founded by STF and the Supporting Committee for Vietnamese People in Germany, and 10 scholarships worth VND2 million each to needy students.
The college has been equipped with mechatronics laboratories meeting German standards. The laboratories are sponsored by the German Corporation for International Cooperation GmbH under the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, with an aim to develop a Training Center for Renewable Energies at the college.
Master Nguyen Phan Anh Quoc, principal of the school, expected the books would help the students study more effectively. He also hoped that the students’ feedback would help technological books become more practical.
