Donating blood – A simple act to save lives

At Easy Credit whose motto is to provide assistance for local residents in need throughout the country, aside from efforts to grow its business and apply advanced technology to offer easy-to-access consumer financial services to customers, Easy Credit managers and employees have proactively joined many community activities including blood drives to show its care to the society where it operates.

According to the company, donating blood is a noble gesture that shows understanding, compassion, and responsibility of each individual toward the community. This meaningful act also reflects Vietnam’s long-standing tradition of human solidarity.

The consumer finance subsidiary of EVN Finance JSC understands that community activities in general and blood drives in particular always go hand in hand with its business growth. Therefore, during two years of establishment and development, Easy Credit has responded to the call from The Saigon Times Group for joining blood donation events to help save many lives, especially amid the Covid-19 pandemic which has severely affected blood reserves.

Next week, the finance company will coordinate with the group and other units to organize the Blood Donation Day, which is scheduled for October 17. Around 60 Easy Credit employees are expected to participate in the upcoming event.

Earlier in March this year, the firm held a blood drive that gathered nearly 100 voluntary donors who are its employees, thus contributing a considerable amount of blood to the HCMC Blood Donation Center.

Hoang The Hung, vice general director of EVN Finance and executive manager of Easy Credit, told the Saigon Times: “We strongly support the blood donation program held by The Saigon Times Group. The number of Easy Credit employees joining this event increases year by year. Last year, apart from employees who are regular blood donors, the firm encouraged many others who had yet donated blood before to join the donation.”

Through the blood drives, the firm wants to contribute a certain amount of blood to patients as well as help raise the public awareness of social responsibility and the sense of compassion. In the years to come, Easy Credit will continue promoting blood drives and other community programs among its employees, Hung added.

In addition to blood donations, the consumer finance service provider has also taken part in a wide range of community activities including making a generous donation to the country’s fight against Covid-19 and supporting local farmers to consume watermelons amid sharp price falls.

Further, Easy Credit is set to launch more charity programs by the end of the year such as collecting used clothes and stuff for daily activities to give to disadvantaged children in remote areas and creating a foundation to support homeless, orphaned children.
