The “Ban Me Dance” traditional art and fashion show, held in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, captivated both locals and visitors with its vibrant celebration of cultural heritage.

The event, which took place on October 19, marked a significant milestone: the 120th anniversary of the establishment of Dak Lak Province and Buon Ma Thuot City’s journey over the same period.

Organized by the Buon Ma Thuot People’s Committee in collaboration with Viet Mode Co., Ltd., the program aimed to preserve and promote the traditional brocade art forms of Dak Lak’s ethnic minorities.

Set beneath the ancient and majestic Cinnamomum camphora tree on the grounds of the Bao Dai Palace, the event exuded a mystical and enchanting ambiance.

The performances showcased a stunning array of brocade costumes and revived ancient crafts such as weaving, wood carving, pottery, and basket weaving. It was a true fusion of art, with music and dance complementing the fashion on display.

More than just a cultural showcase, the event served as a tribute to the ethnic communities of the Central Highlands, particularly their unique and vibrant brocade garments.
