The City’s French Residence Welcomes Over 1,600 Guests.

As a highlight of the European Heritage Days celebration, this annual event, hosted by the French Consulate General, showcases the rich cultural and heritage offerings of France in the region. It also introduces the international community to the unique and captivating aspects of Francophone culture.

A Celebration of Cultural Legacy

The European Heritage Days were inaugurated by the French Ministry of Culture in 1984. During this special occasion, France opens the doors to administrative, diplomatic, and economic buildings that are usually off-limits to the public.

Given the immense success of the event, the Council of Europe adopted it in 1991 and expanded it across the continent. Today, nearly 50 countries participate in this cultural celebration.

At the French Residence, the European Heritage Days have become a highly anticipated event, attracting thousands of local residents and international visitors alike. It has become a beloved tradition that showcases the best of French culture and hospitality.
