Kenny G to Bring Legendary Saxophone Performance to Hanoi

Audiences in Hanoi, Vietnam will be serenaded by the renowned saxophonist Kenny G, as he performs some of his all-time greatest hits, such as Going Home, My Heart Will Go On, and Forever In Love.

Grammy Award-winning saxophonist Kenny G will be performing a special night of music titled “Kenny G Live in Vietnam” at the My Dinh National Convention Center on November 14 at 8 pm.

He is the inaugural artist of the “Good Morning Vietnam” event series, an international music project organized by Nhan Dan newspaper and IB Group Vietnam. The purpose of this project is to bring the world’s best music to Vietnam and raise funds for charity.

World legend Kenny G will have a one-night concert in Hanoi.

All proceeds from ticket sales for the program will be used for charitable purposes by Nhan Dan Newspaper.

Le Quoc Minh, a member of the Party’s Central Committee and editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, shared his personal experience with Kenny G’s music. Minh mentioned buying his first Kenny G record, “Breathless,” in 1992 and how Kenny G’s music has accompanied him over the years.

Nhan Dan Newspaper has a tradition of organizing art programs and carrying out charity activities for various causes. The invitation of international artists like Kenny G enables the newspaper to expand its community service efforts and promote Vietnam’s image to the world.

Nguyen Thuy Duong, President of IB Group Vietnam, acknowledged the challenges of inviting Kenny G to perform in Vietnam due to international artists’ busy schedules and the strict requirements in terms of sound and lighting equipment. The program will last over 2 hours, and Kenny G and his band will perform his most famous songs like “Going Home,” “My Heart will Go On,” and “Forever in Love.”

Kenny G, an American saxophonist, has been captivating music lovers with his instrumental songs in various genres for over 30 years. He is one of the best-selling artists of all time, with over 75 million records sold worldwide. He has won a Grammy Award and holds the Guinness World Record for playing the longest note on the saxophone.

For Vietnamese audiences, Kenny G’s music has been deeply ingrained in their hearts since the 90s.
