The badminton athlete announced the news on her verified Facebook page on Wednesday.
“Hello everyone, for those who love, support and follow me throughout my journey, especially one year of accumulating points to get to the Summer Paris 2024 Olympics. Today I would like to officially announce that I have qualified to attend the Paris 2024 Olympics,” she posted.
“Let’s look forward to my second Olympics with me.
“Thanks and gratitude to all.
“Wishing everyone peace and good health.”
Linh competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she did not advance to the second round.
Currently ranked world No. 24 and holding 48,350 points, Linh sits at No. 17 in the Race to Paris Ranking, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
Her qualification for the women’s singles category is assured as the qualification period nears its end, with the results of two remaining events having no impact on the Vietnamese badminton player’s position.
The Vietnam Badminton Federation awaits confirmation for Le Duc Phat’s place in the men’s singles, expected to be announced on April 30.
Among the six other Vietnamese athletes qualified for the Paris Games, scheduled for July 26 to August 11, are swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang, cyclist Nguyen Thi That, markswomen Trinh Thu Vinh and Le Thi Mong Tuyen, boxer Vo Thi Kim Anh, and weightlifter Trinh Van Vinh.
