The reporters of The Guardian stated that “Vietnam is fortunate to have many technically skilled and fast players who are equally adept with both feet, but Le Dinh Long Vu has already generated excitement among fans about his potential.”

Vu’s impressive performance at the Asia’s Under-17 Championship earned him a call-up to the country’s under-23 team.

His speed, petite build, ball control, and ability to deliver accurate crosses into the box have led fans to draw comparisons between him and Phil Foden of Manchester City, according to the UK newspaper.

“Young Vietnamese talents do not always fulfill their potential, but with the right coaching and club, Le Dinh could go very far indeed,” the newspaper wrote.

Vu is the only Southeast Asian player included in the list.

The 1.72-meter-tall player hails from Ha Tinh Province in north-central Vietnam. He currently plays as a winger for Song Lam Nghe An Football Club in Nghe An Province, which borders Ha Tinh.

The list also features exceptional players who are considered football prodigies in their respective countries, such as Endrick from Brazil, Zaïre-Emery from France, and Paris Brunner from Germany.
