Hanoi (VNA) – VinGroup officially inaugurated on April 21 the Phu Quoc United Centre – a state-of-the-art resort and entertainment complex located on Phu Quoc Island in Kien Giang Province. This development aims to transform Phu Quoc into a world-class tourism destination.

The Phu Quoc United Centre has been recognized with five national records by the Vietnam Record Association, including being the largest complex in Vietnam offering various forms of entertainment and resorts, the largest bamboo construction in the country, the first Teddy Bear Museum, a 3D multimedia show with the most Vietnamese historical references, and the largest floating multimedia show inspired by European culture.

Dubbed as the “Sleepless City,” the Grand World, part of the Phu Quoc United Centre, is expected to revolutionize the night-time economy in Vietnam with its Grand World Phu Quoc Night Market, NightZone 68, and Saigon Seafood Hub Market. These venues offer a wide range of options for tourists, including dining, entertainment, and shopping experiences featuring both domestic and international brands.

Prior to the opening of Grand World, Phu Quoc only had a night market in Duong Dong. With the introduction of Grand World, tourists can now enjoy a vibrant night scene and extend their stay on the island, significantly boosting the local tourism industry.

Huynh Van Son, the Director of tour operator Sea Star Sai Gon JSC, compared the Phu Quoc United Centre to popular tourist destinations such as Universal Studios or Disneyland, stating that it will undoubtedly become a must-visit location in Phu Quoc and play a crucial role in boosting the island’s tourism.

At the opening ceremony, Huynh Quang Hung, Chairman of the Phu Quoc People’s Committee, acknowledged the positive impact of prestigious corporations like VinGroup and their major projects on the development and growth of tourism in Phu Quoc.

Tourist arrivals in Phu Quoc have been steadily increasing, with an annual growth rate of around 25-30%.
