Lilies at the beginning of the season have not yet fully bloomed, but sold at best. The price for a bunch of ten branches ranges from VND 25,000 to VND40,000 (about US$1-2).

Unlike some other flowers appearing all year round, the Madonna lily flower blooming season lasts only 20 days, starting in late March, early April. Therefore, flower lovers are likely to contemplate this elegant white beauty at the beginning of summer.

In Hanoi, lilies are grown in almost all flower villages in Nhat Tan, Quang Ba, Tay Tuu, and in recent years Ha Mo (Dan Phuong). To have Madonna lily for selling in April, growers have planted the bulb since September and October of the previous year.
