“Through this program, we aim to recreate the traditional Vietnamese Tet atmosphere in Duong Lam Ancient Village specifically and in the Northern Delta region in general. Our goal is to promote the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam to our international friends and ensure the preservation of our traditions for future generations,” said Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Son Tay Town Party Committee.

This year’s program will feature a wide range of activities, including a traditional Tet market, art performances, exhibitions of local specialties and handicraft products, as well as traditional folk games.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about traditional rituals and customs associated with the Vietnamese Tet holiday, such as New Year’s Eve celebrations, giving lucky money, releasing carps, and making Tet cakes.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore traditional craft workshops and popular tourist destinations in the village.

Every year, approximately 30,000 domestic and foreign visitors come to Duong Lam Ancient Village on January 20-21 to experience and appreciate the traditional values of the Vietnamese Tet.
