Vinpearl’s journey is described as a miracle. While Hong Kong (China)’s Mandarin Oriental Hotel chain took 55 years to establish 41 facilities with 10,000 rooms, and the Singapore-based Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts took 30 years to build 40 facilities with about 12,000 rooms, Vinpearl reached its current 44 facilities offering tourists more than 17,000 rooms and villas nationwide in just 16 years.
Resorts and safari park
Vinpearl chose Nha Trang City’s Hon Tre Island to establish its first facility. After 18 months of construction, the island launched the country’s most modern hotel and resort area at that time. Since its inception, Vinpearl Land Nha Trang has become one of the most attractive destinations in the coastal city of Nha Trang.
Success in Nha Trang was a stepping stone for the Vinpearl Land brand. In November 2014, Vinpearl Land Amusement Park Phu Quoc came into operation, hosting the final round of the 2014 Miss Vietnam Pageant. The Vinpearl Phu Quoc complex has become popular with domestic and foreign tourists, awaking potential of Phu Quoc, which is dubbed the pearl island.
The company also launched Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc, the first safari animal care and conservation park in Vietnam, covering an area of 380ha and nurturing more than 2,000 animals from biogeographic regions of the world.
Vinpearl has promoted its development across the country, from mountainous provinces to arid islands, especially in prime tourism destinations with world heritage sites, such as Ha Long, Da Nang, and Hoi An.
Vinpearl currently owns six hotel and resorts brands – Vinpearl Resorts, Vinpearl Discovery, Vinpearl Condotel, Vinpearl City Hotels, VinOasis and Vinpearl Luxury; three entertainment brands – Vinpearl Land, Vinpearl Safari and Vinpearl Golf; two spa brands – Vincharm and Akoya; one MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and culinary brand – Almaz.
Some 12 brands are 12 different colors, targeting different customers. While Vinpearl Luxury exudes an authentic upscale experience with intuitive touch points, creating an inviting holistic atmosphere with incredible design flair, Vinpearl Resorts is a comprehensive choice of all ages.
If Vinpearl Discovery pursues the spirit of freedom of discovery, VinOasis reappears the modern space. Vinpearl City Hotels is an elegant and up-to-date place to stay in the inner city, while Vinpearl Condotel brings freedom and comfort as at home.
Whether it is a remote mountainous province or an arid island, each Vinpearl project has its own signature.

Achieving records

The nature has endowed Vietnam with beautiful landscapes and famous wonders. However, the country has yet tapped its potential. Bloom Consulting, a consulting firm specialized in nation branding, announced that Vietnam’s tourism ranked 47th in the world and 15th in Asia.
Visitors can marvel at the natural masterpiece and indulge their curiosity at an unexplored site. However, to remember and return to a land, they need symbols created from people. Therefore, Vinpearl has developed Vietnam’s largest international five-star hotel and resort chain to help Vietnam’s tourism take off.
Phu Quoc Island, for example, has developed and changed its look after the completion of Vinpearl’s projects. In 2018, Phu Quoc Island welcomed more than four million visits, earning VND5.518 trillion. This figure reached 2.26 million visits in the first half of 2019, an increase of nearly 36 percent compared to a year ago. International tourists accounted for 392,000 visits, a year-on-year increase of 35.5 percent. Total revenues stood at over VND3.829 trillion in the reviewed period, an increase of 40.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
In its list of five up-and-coming Asia Pacific destinations not to be missed during the autumn, CNN chose Phu Quoc Island off Vietnam’s southern province of Kien Giang. The US-based television network also assessed that Phu Quoc Island has major tourism development potential in Southeast Asia like Indonesia’s Bali and Thailand’s Phuket.

Ha Long Bay, one of the world’s most famous natural wonders, has also been transformed by Vinpearl. The Vinpearl Resort & Spa Ha Long and many other resorts have helped Quang Ninh Province reach impressive growth. In 2015, Quang Ninh welcomed more than 7.7 million visits, earning VND6.548 trillion. This figure reached 10.5 million visits in the first eight months of this year, earning more than VND20 trillion.
In 2018, Vinpearl welcomed more than 8.4 million domestic and international arrivals at its all facilities nationwide.
In addition to building symbols, Vinpearl has also paid attention to accommodation and culinary for each group of tourists from different cultures, such as China, Russia, Europe, Asia (Japan and the Republic of Korea), and Vietnam to help visitors enjoy their holidays.

With the combination of its all brands, Vinpearl has provided the all-in-one customer experience. It is completely suitable to all forms of travel, such as couples, families and groups of friends.
Vinpearl has achieved many records, such as the world’s longest over-water cable car, Vinpearl Sky Wheel recognized by Guinness for the largest wheel in Vietnam, Van Hoa Hill – the five continent botanical park, the largest floating bay in the world, the largest, most modern and the first underground aquarium in Vietnam, the first safari animal care and conservation park in Vietnam, the first international standard island golf course, and the tallest building in Vietnam (Vincom Landmark 81 in Ho Chi Minh City).

In addition to contributing to elevating the accommodation service in many localities to the five-star level to meet the needs of domestic and international visitors, Vinpearl has also created five-star destinations for MICE and culinary, contributing to changing the look of Vietnamese tourism.
Vinpearl will continue to promote its development by strengthening the presence in provinces with tourism potential. In 2020, Vinpearl will increase the number of modern entertainment areas to 18 with total floor area of 15.1 million sq.m. |
