’s powerful performance.
The Vietnamese, 43rd in the world rankings, could not come up with a surprise in the game with the world’s number-two side, who are also the favorites of the tournament.
The wide gap in class between the two teams was shown as the ball mainly stayed on Vietnam’s side and their defenders failed to mark Brazil’s world-class attackers.
Three minutes into the game, Brazil already opened the scoring and it only took them four more minutes to make it 3-0.
Vietnam found a goal as Khong Dinh Hung netted with a shot from distance in the 14th minute.
But that was all Vietnam could do in the first half as Brazil scored two more to make it 5-1 after 20 minutes.
The one-sided matchup continued in the second half, with the score accelerating to 8-1 in the 28th minute following the Brazilian players’ teamwork that looked like they were training.

Vietnam conceded the last goal in the 36th minute.
They failed to find Brazil’s net despite switching to power-play in the remainder.
Many mistakes that the Vietnamese players made while defending created as many chances for Brazil and were also to blame for the emphatic defeat.
Vietnam will have three days to prepare for their next game on Thursday night against Panama, who lost 1-5 to the Czech Republic in Monday’s other Group D match.Â
A victory over Panama will give the Golden Stars a chance to advance as one of the best third-placed teams.
The FIFA Futsal World Cup Lithuania 2021 runs from September 12 to October 3.
Out of 24 participating teams, the leaders and runners-up of six groups and four best third-placed squads will qualify for the knockout phase.
This is the second time that Vietnam have played in a FIFA Futsal World Cup tournament, following their participation in the 2016 edition in Colombia, where they were eliminated by Russia in the Round of 16.
