An event commemorating the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam, South Africa, France, and Japan will take place in these countries. The event will start in Pretoria, South Africa on September 14 and 15. It will include various activities such as a Vietnamese cultural space, art performances, a ceremony marking the 30th anniversary of Vietnam-South Africa diplomatic ties, and a business forum.
Following South Africa, the event will continue in France and Japan in November and December respectively, celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and these countries.
Hoang Huu Anh, Deputy Director General of the Department of Cultural Diplomacy and UNESCO, noted that the event aims to showcase the image of Vietnam and its dynamic people, while promoting cultural characteristics and fostering economic, trade, and investment ties with other countries. The Vietnamese cultural space will offer immersive experiences including lacquer painting and Dong Ho folk painting workshops, traditional Vietnamese costume showcases, and Vietnamese cuisine tasting. Additionally, a photo exhibition featuring diplomatic relations, Vietnamese heritages, and people will be displayed at the cultural space.
