According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), they have received reports about repatriation flight scams. Many people have received advertisements about foreign airlines organising repatriation flights for Vietnamese people.
However, the airlines told CAAV that they had organised no such flights. The CAAV also hasn’t issued any permits for such flights.
The Ministry of Public Security was asked to investigate the case and prevent other similar scams to protect the passengers and airlines’ reputation.
The CAAV urged passengers to go to the official websites of the Consular Department, the Ministry of Transport and the CAAV to update information about repatriation flights.
The schedules of the flights which are conducted by Vietnamese airlines from November 1 to December 31 will be published online on websites of the Vietnamese Foreign Ministry at https://lanhsuvietnam.gov.vn/default.aspx; the Ministry of Transport at https://www.mt.gov.vn/vn/Pages/Trangchu.aspx; the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam at http://caa.gov.vn/; and official websites of airlines.
