Matoko acknowledged that the UNESCO Office in Hanoi is the most efficient and effective unit in Asia. As Hanoi was awarded the title of City for Peace and became a member of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network, Matoko said that Hanoi is a typical success of Vietnam in UNESCO projects, affirming the effectiveness of the UNESCO Hanoi Office.
Vice Chairwoman Vu Thu Ha stated that one of Hanoi’s priorities is culture, which is built upon the promotion of the thousand-year tradition of civilization and heroism. The city aims to absorb the cultural essence of humanity, viewing it as an internal force and a powerful spiritual motivation for sustainable development.
