Director of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Tourism, Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, announced an upcoming event slated to run from May 31 to June 9. This initiative aims to showcase the southern city’s allure, encompassing its breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and vibrant tourism scene.

The event promises a diverse array of cultural, entertainment, artistic, culinary, and sporting offerings. Alongside, several consumer demand stimulus programs will be rolled out across the city, ensuring an engaging experience for all.

The pinnacle of the event will be an artistic spectacle during the opening ceremony, themed around the “Legendary Train.” This will be a celebration of the nation’s historic triumphs, brought to life through contemporary dance performances and cutting-edge entertainment technology showcased along the Saigon River.

Additionally, water sports enthusiasts will be thrilled with a range of activities on offer, including the Ho Chi Minh City Open River Swimming Championship and the Ho Chi Minh City Open Stand Up Paddle Board (SUP) Championship in 2024. Jet ski displays, paragliding, and sailboat shows will further elevate the excitement.

To top it off, a unique space will be dedicated to recreating the floating markets of the western region, and a river parade will showcase the city’s vibrant festivals and river tourism attractions.
