Minister Dong expressed confidence that cultural exchange initiatives, including the 2024 Vietnam Culture Week in Cambodia, will foster stronger bilateral solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding. These efforts contribute to the long-standing good neighborliness and traditional friendship between the two countries, paving the way for enhanced comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability.
The Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts, Phoeurng Sackona, acknowledged the significance of the program and highlighted the ongoing collaboration between the culture ministries and relevant agencies of both nations. This includes knowledge-sharing in various fields, mutual support in international forums, and joint efforts in cultural heritage conservation and human resources development for the cultural sector.
Minister Sackona suggested an exchange of expertise in the cultural industry, an area with untapped economic and social potential in bilateral cooperation. She reaffirmed her ministry’s commitment to facilitating and intensifying joint activities, believing that these events set a precedent for future cultural exchanges between the two countries and beyond.
