“I was both thrilled and anxious to see my work grace the red carpet at Cannes,” Huy confessed to Tuoi Tre newspaper. “The international fashion scene is challenging, but it’s incredibly rewarding to present Vietnamese talent and creativity to a global audience.”

Huy’s journey to Cannes began with his popular collections on social media. London-based Vietnamese stylist Steven Doan took notice and introduced Huy’s designs to celebrities, paving the way for their red carpet appearances.

The collaboration with celebrities was a remote effort, with Huy and his team communicating via text and email to create these stunning looks. “After designing the dresses, we sent them to the celebrities, and Steven Doan ensured they were styled and fitted perfectly,” Huy explained.

Phan Huy is a rising star in the fashion industry, having graduated as valedictorian from the University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City’s fashion program in 2023. Just one year later, he has already made his mark on the international stage, working with celebrities both within Vietnam and abroad.

“The international market demands creativity, so I strive to constantly evolve and innovate my designs to stay ahead of the curve,” Huy shared. Already, his designs have been spotted on prominent Vietnamese celebrities, including singer Ho Ngoc Ha, model Thanh Hang, singer Chi Pu, and actress Nha Phuong.
