Nguyen Anh Minh, Director of the museum, stated that the event commemorates the 70th anniversary of the capital city’s Liberation Day.
The exhibition, which runs until October 22, will delve into the city’s revolutionary spirit before 1945 and commemorate the valiant liberation struggles of its people and military. This will be achieved through the artworks of distinguished painters such as Tran Dinh Tho, Cong Van Trung, and Nguyen Quang Phong.
Additionally, paintings like “Hanoi Dem Giai Phong” by Le Thanh Duc, “Pho Hang Duong” by Trinh Huu Ngoc, and “Niem Vui Giai Phong” by Tran Khanh Chuong bring to life the vibrant atmosphere of Hanoi on liberation day, adorned with flags and flowers.
The resilience of the capital during wartime and its subsequent reconstruction efforts are highlighted through the artistic expressions of Tran Binh Loc, Bui Xuan Phai, Phan Van Don, and Vu Duy Nghia, to name a few.
The museum has also incorporated modern technology to showcase the artworks alongside traditional display methods.
As part of the exhibition, woodblock printing activities will be conducted, and an art talk will be dedicated to the painter Nguyen Tu Nghiem, who seamlessly blended traditional aesthetic values with contemporary art.
