The ASOCIO DX Awards, held annually, are a prestigious recognition of exceptional achievements in the field of digital technology utilization and implementation.
Nominees for these awards include distinguished individuals, organizations, and businesses from the 24 member economies that comprise ASOCIO.
This year’s awards ceremony celebrated excellence in ten diverse categories: Outstanding Tech Organization, Smart City, Digital Government, EdTech, HealthTech, Cybersecurity, ESG, Emerging Digital Solutions & Ecosystem, Women in Tech, and Public/Private Partnership.
Vietnam’s achievements were highlighted at the ASOCIO DX Awards 2024, with nine representatives receiving honors. Specifically, Thua Thien-Hue Province garnered recognition by winning the ASOCIO Smart City Award.
This accolade serves as a testament to the province’s dedicated efforts in constructing a smart city and accelerating digitalization. Over the years, Thua Thien-Hue has initiated and implemented numerous e-government, smart urban, and digital transformation programs.
The province’s commitment to innovation and digitalization has resulted in multiple prestigious awards. One notable achievement was being recognized as Asia’s most innovative smart city project at the Telecom Asia Awards 2019.
Additionally, in 2022, Thua Thien-Hue reinforced its digital prowess by claiming the Digital Government Award at the ASOCIO edition that year.
Thua Thien-Hue Province’s digital transformation journey has been remarkable, ranking fourth among all 63 cities and provinces in Vietnam for the Digital Transformation Index in 2022 and leading the Vietnam 2023 Provincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI) rankings.
