Lao Vice President Bounthong Chitmany and Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh were joined by State leaders of the two countries in attendance at the event’s opening ceremony held in the capital on July 19.

Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suansavanh Viyaketh said the exhibition reflects the ties of great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive co-operation that exists between the two Parties, States, and peoples of both countries.

Lao people will continue to educate younger generations to help them understand, preserve, and eternally promote the relationship for the cause of sustainability, she said.

On display are more than 100 photos which introduce the special relationship of the two sides during their respective struggles for national liberation and construction. In addition, the photos highlight the landscapes, people, and culture of Laos.

The exhibition is scheduled to last until July 21.
