The information was announced by the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA).

The Green Screen short film contest, launched by the VFDA on January 5, aims to encourage young filmmakers to focus on environmental topics as well as reflect on current issues related to sustainable development from environmental protection.

Since the launch on March 31, the organising committee has received 66 valid scenarios and projects.

The film projects are diverse in genres, including animated films, documentaries, feature films, and science films. The authors and groups are still very young, many of them are students of universities such as Van Lang University, Hoa Sen University, and the University of Theatre and Cinema. The contents of the film project revolve around different perspectives on the topic of environment and environmental protection, approached by the authors vividly and realistically.

On May 10, the VFDA held the pitching round at the University of Economics in Ho Chi Minh City in both online and offline forms.

The authors and the group presented new ideas and feasibility in their script – project, and short film production plan, and at the same time, they answered questions and listened to the advice of the judges.

Films submitted to the Green Screen short film contest will have the opportunity to win attractive prizes such as the first prize of 100 million VND, the second prize of 60 million VND, two third prizes of 30 million VND each and other extra prizes.

The award ceremony of the Green Screen contest is scheduled to be held on the occasion of National Day September 2, 2022, in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province.
