A unique event, sponsored by the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea (RoK), sought to strengthen the bond and cooperation between the two nations. With a focus on celebrating and sharing Vietnam’s cultural and historical wealth, the event was a first of its kind in the RoK.
The gathering was graced by representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy, various Vietnamese and Korean organizations, Seocho and Hongcheon districts, and overseas Vietnamese community. It truly was a diverse and inclusive event.
Nguyen Viet Anh, Minister Counselor from the Vietnamese Embassy, emphasized the significance of this event for the Vietnamese diaspora in the RoK. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to showcase Vietnam’s rich heritage and culture to the Korean people.
Viet Anh also commended the efforts of the ALOV and KOVECA, the organizers of this wonderful event, and expressed his desire for it to become an annual tradition.
The event offered a holistic experience with participants paying respect to the Hung Kings, enjoying traditional Vietnamese music and folk dances, and indulging in the beauty of Korean hanbok and Vietnamese cuisine. It was a true cultural exchange.

Vietnamese warned not to travel to coronavirus-hit areas in RoK
The Consular Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Vietnamese Embassy in the Republic of Korea has recommended Vietnamese citizens to avoid travel to areas that are affected by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and vulnerable to the virus in the country as warned by local competent agencies.
