The competitors will participate in various segments, including the national costume competition with an attire made from recycled and environmentally-friendly materials; a swimsuit competition; and a talent show, among others.

The pageant will mainly take place in Ho Chi Minh City, while accompanying activities will be carried out in nearby areas such as Dong Nai and Ba Ria-Vung Tau, as stated by Truong Ngoc Anh, president of Miss Earth Vietnam 2023.

The final night is scheduled to be held in the southern city on December 22, during which the winners of Miss Earth, Miss Earth Air, Miss Earth Water, and Miss Earth Fire will be announced.

To promote the beauty pageant, the organizing board has released a video clip conveying the message of “Unique Bonds – One Planet”. Notably, the clip features Miss Earth 2023 President Ngoc Anh, Miss Earth 2022 Mina Sue Choi, and Miss Earth Fire 2022 Andrea Aguilera wearing Ao Dai and Non La (conical hat), as well as posing with lotus flowers.

This is the second time Vietnam has hosted this global pageant, following the 2010 edition.

Miss Earth Vietnam 2023 Do Thi Lan Anh will then represent Vietnam in the competition.

Miss Earth was originally launched in 2001 by Carousel Productions of the Philippines. Along with Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss International, the pageant advocates for environmental awareness, conservation, and social responsibility.

Miss Earth is the fourth largest international beauty pageant in the world and is highly appreciated by the media for its scale, prestige, and humanistic message.

The competition aims to find ambassadors with the responsibility of promoting the protection of the global environment.
