Ricardo Patraca has over 20 years of experience in the craft and has previously designed crowns for a variety of beauty contests in 30 countries globally, including Miss Supranational Puerto Rico, Miss Supranational Mexico 2019, and Teen Universe USA.

Upon being announced as the designer, Patraca stated his delight at having the opportunity to create the crown for the first-ever Miss Charm to be held in Vietnam, adding that he plans to use an array of materials to create the unique design such as crystals and gemstones.

In addition to the crown, the eventual winner of Miss Charm 2020 will also receive a cash prize of VND1 billion.

Moreover, the winner will be joined by two runners-up as they live in luxury apartments for a year while working in Vietnam, promoting culture, tourism, and taking part in various charity activities.

At present a total of 40 contestants have registered to compete at Miss Charm 2020 which is set to take place in Ho Chi Minh City between March 5 and March 17.

As the nation’s representative, Nguyen Thi Quynh Nga will be competing at Miss Charm 2020. The local girl has plenty of experience competing in other beauty pageants, having previously finished as the runner-up back in Miss Student 2017, whilst also securing a Top 10 finish during Miss World Vietnam 2019.
