Young Vietnamese men, both domestically and internationally, who are between the ages of 18 and 27 and are at least 1.75 meters tall, are encouraged to participate in the competition.

The preliminary round will take place in Ho Chi Minh City in April. Contestants will compete in various categories, including traditional costumes, sports, question-and-answer sessions, and evening wear.

During the final round in June, participants will also showcase their talents and involvement in charitable activities.

The top 5 finalists will then participate in the question-and-answer portion to vie for the crown. The winner will be awarded a cash prize of VND200 million, while the first and second runners-up will receive VND100 million and VND50 million, respectively.

Awards will also be given out to winners of sub-contests, such as Mr. Sport, Mr. Fashion Model Award, Mr. Talent, Beauty With A Purpose, Mr. Áo dài, Mr. Veston, Mr. Fitness, and Mr. Media Award.

The winner will then have the opportunity to represent Vietnam in the global Mr. World competition, organized by the Mr. World Organization since 1996.

Vietnam has previously participated in the Mr. World pageant, with model Ho Duc Vinh winning the Best National Costume sub-title in 2007.

In 2012, Truong Nam Thanh finished in the Top 10 overall and won the Mister Fashion and Style Challenge. He was also among the Top 10 in the Mr. World Talent categories.
